- Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital (HFWH), is looking for a contingent occupational therapy assistant to provide high quality services to patients in a hospital setting.

- HFWH has 400 beds with medical, surgical observation, cardiac and intensive care units.

- It also has a 38 bed CARF accredited rehab unit.

- Our OT staff provides services to primarily adult and geriatric patients on all of these units.

Qualifications

- Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate's degree acquired from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program.

- Current State of Michigan licensure.

- Current CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).

- Experience in a hospital setting (inpatient rehab) preferred.

The work schedule is at least one weekend each month with opportunites to work more days/hours if so desired.

- Works under the general direction of the area's administrative or clinical coordinator, and provides direction and supervision for supportive staff assigned to his/her shift.
- Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day comprehensive, patient-oriented pharmacy services provided on his/her shift in each area of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Must hold a degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and should have served an internship and/or residency in hospital pharmacy.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Michigan Licensed Pharmacist with training and or experience working in an active ED department and who has performed the responsibilities associated with medication history and medication reconciliation is preferred

Responsibilities

The inpatient physical rehabilitation department is looking for a contingent physical therapist assistant to provide high quality services to patients in a hospital setting. In addition to the medical and surgical units Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital has a very reputable CARF accredited 38-bed rehab unit with Stroke Specialty certification.

Our PT staff provides services to primarily adult and geriatric patients on all units.

Shift Details:

The work schedule is at least one weekend each month with opportunities to work more days/hours if so desired. At this time there is an opportunity to work full-time hours for the next few months. Preference will be given to someone with experience in a hospital setting.

- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

2. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

3. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

4. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

- CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
