Overview

With continued growth and high patient demand Henry Ford Health System, Department of Family Medicine/Division of After Hours Care, is seeking board eligible/certified Family Medicine, Med/Peds, Internal Medicine, or Pediatric physicians to practice at our Livonia Medical Center, After Hours Care Clinic.

Responsibilities

The Henry Ford After Hours Care service is available for patients with medical situations that aren't quite emergencies but do require attention. Patients can walk-in and see a board-certified primary care physician. No appointment is necessary; treatment is available for all ages, with most insurance plans are accepted.

After Hours Care offers the same evaluation and treatment available at a doctor's office. If additional care from a surgeon or specialist is required, Henry Ford will help make an appointment for follow-up. If immediate, intensive care is needed, the clinic will arrange transportation to an emergency department.

After Hours & Urgent Care can handle:

- Minor asthma-related symptoms
- Minor cuts or animal bites where bleeding is controlled
- Broken bones or sprains
- Skin rashes, sunburns or minor burns, such as one from cooking
- Fever
- Earache, cough and/or sore throat
- Illness with nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Eye infections
- Bladder infections

Qualifications

- Must be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics

- Residency/Fellowship training by an ACGME accredited program is required
