Responsibilities
Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-1/2 to 2 years of related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the hospital.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a patient care environment with exposure to communicable diseases. Extensive walking, standing, lifting, pushing and the like may be necessary. (July, 2004 revised)
