Role Overview

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patients on their recovery journey. Working under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you will assess patient interactions, plan therapeutic activities, and maintain a safe, supportive environment. Your work will directly contribute to the well-being and recovery of individuals in our care.

What You Will Do

• Monitor individual and group interactions to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Facilitate small group discussions and recreational activities to support patient recovery.
• Document patient progress and interventions in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in medication monitoring and ensure proper storage in the Halfway House setting.
• Encourage patient engagement in 12 Step programs and recovery philosophies.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for group activities and ensure a clean, safe environment.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with no DUI's or OWI's in the past 5 years.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 120 days of employment and maintain it thereafter.
• Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 120 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of personal recovery experience.
• Some experience in the Mental Health (MH) or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) space.
